How to apply for a grant from the Trust Print E-mail
Wednesday, 25 January 2006

The objective of SCAET is to "reconnect Scotland with its countryside" and we would be pleased to consider any application for funding that falls within this remit.

The Trust does not have an application form, and so, if you would like to apply for a grant for a project, please write a letter to the Director of the Trust. In order to help us to make an informed decision, please remember to include the following information:

  • Brief description of the organisation/group
  • Description of the project, what you want to do, where it will take place, who it will involve and how the work will be managed
  • How you know there is a need for this work
  • The benefits of this work, the targets that have been set
  • How the work will be monitored and evaluated to measure the success of the project
  • Income and Expenditure of the work, including details of funds already received and any other sources being approached
  • If you have an Annual Report or accounts that can be included, this might help

The Trust has limited funding available, and with this in mind we are unlikely to consider grants of more than £1,500. Please also note that like other charitable trusts, we receive more applications than we have funds to support, and whilst consideration will be given to all applications, a considerable number may not receive funding.

Funding applications will be considered as soon as possible and you should receive a response within 3 months of submitting an application.

If you would like further advice on whether your project may be eligible for funding, please call the office and someone will be happy to speak to you.
