Tony Andrews trained as a teacher after a career in the Royal Marines, and afterwards served for 26 years in the overseas career service of the British Council. He maintains that having a father who introduced him to the delights of fishing when he was five, was a great start in life.

Fifty four years later Tony still loves his fishing and has the great good fortune to live with his wife Alison in the heart of the Angus countryside, which he regards as a privilege in itself. Tony is a lifelong countryman with a passion for the Scottish highlands and all the freedoms those great tracts of unpopulated countryside can provide. Nothing makes him happier than a five mile stride in the hills of Sutherland, casting a fly for wild brown trout as he passes them by.
